possible ideas for the breif - thumbnail post it note storyboard.

Potential ideas :

Idea 1: Scissors and pencil both desire same piece of  paper.
Establishing shot: Its night time, objects begin to come alive.
Conflict: Both pencil and scissors wants the paper.
Resolution: The scissors win the pencil is defeated.
Details:
The main light switch's off, leaving only a bright lamp that highlights a single piece of paper, in the middle of two foes. Both objects, that have slowly came alive sees the paper and desires it. They both race towards it, they reach it at the same time, the pencil begins to draw on it and the scissors begins to cut it. Being greedy, the scissors chases the pencil and cuts him in half, being the winner he continues to cut the paper joyfully while the pencil is left lifeless.

Positives: use of film language allows the viewer to easily understand their enemies with the use of compensation: the scissors opposite the pencil, with the desired paper in the middle. I effectively show its desired by the light highlighting it compared to the dark atmosphere of night; with the objects acting like a moth to a flame.   Even though the scissors win, it is set up as more of the villain as we are more sided with the pencil, and perceive the scissors in unfriendly angels. I think this idea is strong and has protentional.

idea 2:

Establishment: A white and board, what holds a white board pen and rubber.
Conflict: The pen wants to doodle on the white board, the rubber wants the board to be nice and clean. He rubs  out all of the drawings of the pen, both aggravating each other as they have opposite desires with the white board.
Resolution: The pen draws round and round the rubber is  circles, making the rubber so dizzy when he tries to erase it, that he falls of the board.

I find this idea less interesting and the composition is weak, I do not feel I could create as creative shot types, unlike with the other idea. On a positive note, It would be easier to do, yet again I do not feel I could create interesting shots with  this idea.

I think I shall go with my first idea as I feel I can explore it more and iterate to make it more engaging.
